AOA President John W. Becher, D.O. Visits NSU-COM

 On February 19, John W. Becher, D.O., the 119th president of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), visited NSU College of Osteopathic Medicine to discuss bright future of the osteopathic profession with students and faculty members.

“The dynamic times we’re living in have brought extraordinary change to health care in just the past few years,” he said. “Osteopathic medicine is one of the fastest-growing segments of health care professionals in the United States, and the demand for our philosophy and approach to care has never been greater.”

Becher serves as chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). He is also a 1970 PCOM alumnus.
