Amira Bendrif Tabbed PBC Field Athlete of the Week

After a career-best performance in the triple jump at the UNF Spring Break Invitational, Nova Southeastern track and field senior Amira Bendrif was named Peach Belt Conference Women’s Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

“We are excited to see Amira performing well this season,” said head coach Bryan Hagopian. “She had a frustrating 2017 campaign and we are happy to see her with more confidence in 2018. Amira has jumped well these past few competitions and we know she is just getting started.”

Bendrif claimed her first-ever PBC weekly award as the product of Rabat, Morocco set a personal-best in the triple jump with a provisional qualifying mark of 11.97m and a season-best in the long jump at 5.39m at UNF. With the mark in the triple jump, Bendrif now ranks fourth in Division II and sits atop the PBC standings.
