Three Swimmers Earn Capital One Academic All-Region

The NSU men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs collectively had three student-athletes honored as Capital One Academic All-Region team members, as announced by CoSIDA last Thursday. Rebecca BergenKelsea Smith and Michael Zislin are the Sharks’ honorees and are now eligible for Academic All-American status.

These honors represent the strong academic standards of the NSU swimming and diving programs. In all three years of competition, the Sharks have had multiple athletes honored among the top academic performers in the South Region. These honors were for the award program’s at-large category, meaning the swimmers had to beat out athletes from several other sports to be recognized. Complete Release
