SSC Claims Highest DII ASR Rate for Sixth Straight Year

For the sixth consecutive year, the Sunshine State Conference has posted the top NCAA Division II Academic Success Rate. The Academic Success Rate (ASR) for all 23 Division II conferences was released at the NCAA Convention, which was held in Grapevine, Texas, Jan. 16-19. SSC member institutions posted an ASR of 86 percent to again lead all conferences. The Northest-10 Conference placed second in the rankings with an ASR of 85 percent. The leagues have claimed the top two spots in the conference-by-conference comparison each year since the ASR performance rankings were first released in January 2008.

“As a member of the Sunshine State Conference we pride ourselves in both academic and athletic success,” Director of Athletics Michael Mominey said. “NSU will continue its contribution that has helped establish the SSC as the top academic conference in all of Division-II the past six years. We are especially proud of our four-time national champion women’s golf team which posted a perfect Academic Success Rate in this report. They are just one of the many examples of academic and athletic success in Division II.” Complete Release
