SHSS to Host Story Café at the Alvin Sherman Library, March 14

Story Cafe FinalizedCommunity Resolution Services (CRS) in NSU’s Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) in partnership with the SHSS SGA, will host Story Café 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14 in room 4009 in the Alvin Sherman Library. The event is free and open to the public.

Story Café will provide an opportunity for participants to share stories related to themselves and their families using narrative and other mediums such as poetry and photos. Participants will be at tables with graduate students as facilitators.

CRS is a practicum and volunteer site for students to enhance their knowledge and skills and to provide services to NSU and local communities. CRS offers trainings, workshops, and other services to help foster peaceful families, organizations, and communities. Peace Place, a part of CRS, is a long standing collaboration between SHSS and the Broward County Library to provide presentations and events by students and faculty to the community.
