SHSS Student Authors Book Reviews in the International Journal of Transitional Justice

Cyril Adonis, doctoral candidate in the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS), had four book reviews published in the International Journal of Transitional Justice (2010). The books reviewed included: Religion and Conflict Resolution: Christianity and South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission, by Megan Shore; There Was This Goat:  Investigating the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Testimony of Notrose Nobomvu Konile , by Antjie Krog, Nosisi Mpolweni and Kopano Ratele; Justice and Reconciliation in Post-Apartheid South Africa , by Francois du Bois and Antje du Bois-Pedain (eds.); and Post-TRC Prosecutions in South Africa: Accountability for Political Crimes after the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Amnesty Process, by Ole Bubenzer.

Adonis is a Fulbright Scholar who came to SHSS from South Africa. He is completing his dissertation study back in South Africa where he is the Project Manager for the Centre for the Study of Violence and Reconciliation.
