SHSS Faculty and Student Present at Aging Conference in San Francisco

Tommie Boyd, Ph.D., and Yulia Watters, SHSS Doctoral Candidate.

Tommie Boyd, Ph.D., associate professor and chair of the Department of Family Therapy in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) and Yulia Watters, doctoral candidate in the department, presented at the American Society on Aging Conference in San Francisco. Their presentation was entitled, “Increasing Cultural Competencies: Keys to Effective Counseling to Russian Senior Community.”

Boyd’s research interests include medial family therapy, aging, and other lifespan issues and family therapy pedagogies.
