SAAC Wins At Pause For Cause Charity Event

The Nova Southeastern University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee participated in the Pause for Cause benefit. The NSU Student Government dubbed March 21, SEA Thursday Pause for a Cause!

In total the Make-A-Wish Foundation was one of twelve charities that participated in Pause for a Cause! Upon arriving at SEA, each student organization received a bucket. At the SEA board table there were gold coins and each person that attended SEA signed up and received coins to contribute toward their favorite charity. The organization that received the most coins by 12:45 p.m. received a $100 dollar donation to give to their respected charity.

The event was a prime opportunity to show students on campus that SAAC and NSU athletics supports The Make-A-Wish Foundation. SAAC believes in this organization and rallied student-athletes to attend the event. In total, close to 50 students, staff and faculty donated their coins to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, producing a grand total of 152 coins to win Pause for a Cause! NSU student government was thrilled to see the enormous support around campus and will be donating $100 towards the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Other charities at SEA Thursday included: The Kidney Foundation, American Cancer Society, The Humane Society and many more. Complete Release
