Porter Adds another All-American Accolade

Meixandra Porter

Highly-decorated guard Meixandra Porter added recognition to her ledger as she was recently named third-team All-American by Women’s Division II Bulletin.

Less than a week after being chosen as a State Farm/WBCA Coaches’ All-American, Porter (Sr., Chantilly, Va.) became the first DII Bulletin honoree since Stephanie Sarosi was chosen by the publication twice (fourth team in 2007-08, third team in 2008-09).

Porter finished her Shark career after their Elite Eight run as the fourth-highest scorer since the team moved to DII, at an impressive 959 points in just two seasons. Her 131 made 3-pointers in those two years is second all-time, and she also ranks in the NSU career top 10 in field goals (322, fourth), steals (122, fourth), free throws made (184, fifth) and assists (153, sixth).
