OIT Team Completes Project Management Training at Hudson Center

OIT’s new Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belts.

The H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship’s Hudson Center of Entrepreneurship and Executive Education recently completed a two-day Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training program for NSU’s Office of Information Technologies (OIT) department. OIT is the first NSU division to participate in team training at the Hudson Center.

Twenty-six employees participated in the training program and received certification as Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belts. All are now eligible to pursue Green Belt certification, which is offered by the Hudson Center. The program was led by Frank Voehl, Director of Process Improvement at the Huizenga Business School, and was held on campus in the Hollywood-Mailman building.

Lean Six Sigma certification programs are designed for business professionals looking to expand their quality and process management skills and knowledge. Lean Six Sigma programs train participants in the Six Sigma vision, philosophy and methodology of quality management. Yellow Belt training serves as the introduction to Lean Six Sigma techniques, concepts, metrics and improvement methodologies.

The Hudson Center team is now working with other NSU divisions to develop education programs for their teams.
