NSU’s Jacksonville SEC wins Medical Challenge Bowl

NSU’s Jacksonville Student Education Center recently won the 2012 National Medical Challenge Bowl at the Annual American Academy of Physician Assistants Conference in Toronto, Ontario. NSU’s Jacksonville PA students competed against 48 highly competitive teams, including three other PA programs from NSU. Whitney Boyd, Thomas Pieniazek, and Kara Forinash came out victorious after eliminating other institutions through several rounds of competition.  The final four institutions were DeSales University (reigning champions), Duke University, the University of Toledo, and our own NSU Jacksonville. Our Sharks won with points acquired on the final question of the last round. The students thanked their faculty coach, Angela Dunaway, Pharm.D., PA-C.

The story is featured in the Tuesday issue of 2012 AAPA Conference Daily.
