NSU’s Guy Harvey Research Institute Researchers Featured in Maryland Media

Ocean City, MD Shark Tagging Expedition Highlighted by WBOC - Ch. 16

GHRI Logo - MedFORT LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – For years, researchers at Nova Southeastern University’s Guy Harvey Research Institute have been studying mako sharks. Throughout the year they visit the waters off of Isla Mejures, Mexico, the Cayman Islands and Ocean City, Maryland in order to catch, tag and release these majestic creatures. Currently, the team is off of Ocean City, MD where they are meeting up with mako sharks that congregate in those waters this time each year. Local CBS affiliate WBOC joined the NSU researchers on one of their trips, as did Rachael Pacella from DelmarvaNow.
