#NSU50 Top Moment No. 12: NSU Names Ray Ferrero Jr. as School’s Fifth President

NSU’s Fifth President Ray Ferrero Jr.

The #NSU50 “Top Moments in NSU Athletics History” continues with the 12th moment on the list: Nova Southeastern names Ray Ferrero Jr. as the school’s fifth president.

Ferrero took his position as president of NSU on Jan. 1, 1998. He had previously served as a member of the Board of Trustees from 1984 to 1988, as Chairman of the Board of Trustees from 1988 to 1995 and as Vice-Chairman from 1995 to 1997. One of his most notable accomplishments was playing a major role in the merger between Nova and Southeastern University, setting the groundwork for the largest independent university in the southeast and the seventh largest in the country.​ Complete Release​
