NSU Speaker’s Forum Hosted by Dr. Larry A. Calderon, July 30

Susan H. Peirce, M.A.

Susan H. Peirce, M.A., executive director of development at NSU, will be the featured speaker at the NSU Speaker’s Forum on July 30. She will talk about the Changing Lives and Changing the World campaign priorities for NSU’s office of Institutional Advancement.

Peirce was named executive director of development at NSU last year. In her role, Peirce assists the university with advancement; including annual giving, major and leadership gift fundraising, campaign management, athletic fundraising, and the development and management of comprehensive advancement programs. Peirce joined NSU after three years at Florida Atlantic University as vice president for campaigns and seven years as their associate vice president for advancement. Previously, she served as vice president of university advancement at Saint Leo University in Florida. She has also held development and campaign positions at Northern Illinois University, Villanova University, Chatham College and Pennsylvania State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from Chatham College in Pittsburgh and her master’s degree in educational leadership and educational policy studies from Northern Illinois University.  

The weekly NSU Speaker’s Forum is sponsored by Larry Calderon, Ed.D., NSU’s vice president for community and governmental affairs. Taking place each Friday from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., in the Boardroom of the Horvitz Administration Building, these forums allow speakers from the university to present on a vast array of topics, including their latest programs, research, campus activities and more. The forum includes breakfast as well as a question and answer session at the conclusion of the presentation.
