NSU Recognizes Donors

FORT LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern University (NSU) recognized all donors who have contributed $1,000 or more on an annual basis at its President’s Associates event held May 6 at NSU’s Grande Oakes Golf Club.  The theme of the event, attended by 120 guests, was Kentucky Derby inspired “Cocktails & Contenders.”

The President’s Associates event was founded by Abraham Fischler, Ed.D., NSU president emeritus, one year into his presidency of the university, as a way to recognize these donors.  The group began with 43 such donors and today, there are more than 650 members.

The President’s Associates contributes to initiatives such as student and faculty recruitment, faculty development and recognition, outstanding student awards, faculty mentoring program, alumni scholars programs, distinguished speakers programs and essential equipment.
