Former Florida Gov. Bob Martinez, chair of Florida TaxWatch’s Center for Florida Citizenship (CFC), recently announced the appointment of Fred Lippman, R.Ph., Ed.D., chancellor of Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) Health Professions Division, to the organization’s Advisory Board. Lippman also serves as a board member of Florida TaxWatch.

The CFC Advisory Board is comprised of business and community leaders with knowledge and experience to provide Florida TaxWatch’s expert staff with ideas and guidance in doing CFC research and policy formulation. Members are selected on the basis of the significant leadership role they have achieved in the areas of business, politics, community service, and charitable organizations.

“We admire Dr. Lippman’s decades of work on behalf of our great state,” said Dominic M. Calabro, president and CEO of Florida TaxWatch. “Through his involvement with the Center for Florida Citizenship, he will have an opportunity to use his knowledge and experience to bring about meaningful changes in the way Floridians engage and communicate with government officials.”

Florida TaxWatch is an independent, nonprofit, nonpartisan research institute widely recognized as the watchdog of citizens’ hard-earned tax dollars for more than 33 years. Its mission is to provide the citizens of Florida and public officials with high quality, independent research on government revenues, expenditures, taxation, public policies and programs and to increase the productivity and accountability of Florida Government.
