Nova Southeastern University’s Psychology Program Honored as One of Nation’s Best

NSU Recognized for Outstanding Online Master’s in Psychology Program

FORT LAUDERDALE-DAVIE, Fla.Nova Southeastern University is no stranger to online college course offerings. In fact, NSU was leading the way when many institutions of higher learning were asking “what’s an online course?”

Now NSU has been honored for its online master’s program in psychology by BestColleges.com. When the final tally was taken, NSU’s program ranked 12th overall from colleges and universities from across the United States – and NSU is the highest ranked Florida college or university.

“Once again NSU is recognized as providing a high-quality educational program to students, something we’ve been doing for more than 50 years,” said George L. Hanbury, II, Ph.D., President and CEO of Nova Southeastern University. “This is in keeping with our Vision 2020, where NSU will be recognized by accrediting agencies, the academic community and general public as a premier, private, not-for-profit university of quality and distinction. We are committed to providing rigorous educational opportunities and programs that meet our students’ varied needs and properly prepare them to thrive after graduation.”

According to BestColleges.com, the rankings were compiled by using the latest information from the IPEDS and College Navigator databases, both of which are reputable sources maintained by the National Center for Education Statistics. When ranking master’s programs, officials reviewed several metrics, including: acceptance rate, retention rate, graduation rate and enrollment rate. Each school was ranked against one another for each metric, with all metrics being weighted equally.
