Find a New Favorite at NSU Library’s Used Book, CD and DVD Sale – April 28-30

Deals on pre-owned textbooks, fiction and nonfiction hardcover and paperbacks, children’s books, CDs, DVDs, and video cassettes will be available at the 13th Semi-Annual Used Book Sale, hosted at Nova Southeastern University’s (NSU) Alvin Sherman Library.


Held Over by Popular Demand, Vatican Splendors Exhibition at Museum of Art I Fort Lauderdale Granted Special Permission from the Vatican to Extend Through May 8, 2011

The final day the exhibition will be on view is now Mother’s Day, May 8, 2011 – two weeks after the original close date of April 24. After May 8, all of the precious objects must return to Italy.


NSU Students Host “Stand Up for Japan: A Comedy Jam” to Raise Funds for Earthquake & Tsunami Victims

South Florida comedians are joining forces with students from Nova Southeastern University to raise laughs and funds, and show their support for the victims of the recent devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan with the “Stand Up for Japan: A Comedy Jam” benefit on Monday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m.


Teen Cancer Survivor Hosts “For Hair’s Sake” Benefit at NSU to Collect Ponytails, Raise Funds for “Locks of Love,” Apr. 17

NSU student group “Locks for a Cause” will host “For Hair’s Sake” on Sunday, April 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to to raise funds for cancer research and collect ponytails for Locks of Love, a non-profit that creates high-quality wigs for children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy or a medical condition.

Nova Southeastern University (NSU) and the dietary supplement company Immunotec announced that they will conduct a new research study to determine the effects of a supplement to improve behaviors in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Jamaican Ambassador to Hold ‘Community Meet and Greet’ at Nova, April 12

Nova Southeastern University welcomes Her Excellence, Ambassador Audrey Marks, Jamaica’s tenth ambassador to the United States and permanent Jamaican representative to the Organization of American States, to campus on Tuesday, April 12 for a public town hall event. Ambassador Marks has served in her current post as the Jamaican Ambassador to the U.S. since May 2010.

NSU’s H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship will induct three business leaders into its Entrepreneur Hall of Fame on April 13, 2011. This list includes “Papa John,” the Hall of Fame’s second woman to be inducted, and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
