Newly Discovered Anglerfish Species Darling of Media
Fish May Be "Ugly," But The Media Coverage is Beautiful!

FORT LAUDERDALE – DAVIE, FL – During a recent research excursion, Nova Southeastern University researcher and professor Tracey Sutton, Ph.D. found something that no one on earth had ever seen before. A new species of anglerfish.
Dr. Sutton, who works in NSU’s Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography, is working on a project to study the effects an oil spill has on deep-sea life. As part of that work in the Gulf of Mexico, he discovered this new species.
