H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship- Entrepreneurship Summer Camp and Personal Enrichment (E.S.C.A.P.E.)

The Entrepreneurship Summer Camp and Personal Enrichment program (E.S.C.A.P.E.) is designed to give high school students with a passion for business an understanding and appreciation for the process of starting a business and maintaining ethical business practices. Our goal is to educate as well as inspire the young entrepreneur.

NSU Athletics – Baseball Camp

NSU Baseball holds camps periodically throughout the year. Sharks Head Coach Michael Mominey and Assistant Coaches Ray Romero, Ryan Romero and Cliff Terracuso will focus on advanced instruction in the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing and individual defense.

NSU Athletics – Men’s Basketball Camp

The NSU Junior Sharks Basketball Camp is dedicated to providing a fun, enthusiastic atmosphere for young boys and girls interested in learning more about the game. We welcome campers of all ability levels. We are committed to teaching skills to young players while helping to refine and advance the skills of older players.

The NSU Men’s summer soccer camp is open to both boys and girls, and focuses on advanced instruction in all technical and tactical fundamentals of soccer, including passing and receiving, defending, attacking and shooting.

The NSU Softball Camp focuses on beginning to advanced instruction in all technical and tactical fundamentals of softball.

The NSU summer volleyball camp focuses on beginning to advanced instruction in all technical and tactical fundamentals of volleyball, including passing, attacking and defense.

NSU Athletics – Women’s Basketball Camp- Team and Individual Sessions

This summer, NSU’s Women’s Basketball program will hold both individual and team camps. High School Varsity, JV, AAU/Club teams and Middle School teams are welcomed to attend either or both of NSU’s basketball team camps. The team camp is designed to prepare student-athletes for the upcoming summer events they will be participating in as well as the new school year. The individual camp focuses on teaching the basic fundamentals of the game of basketball to improve the overall skill level of each camper.

Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale- Creative Summer Art Academy

The Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale announces the return of its popular Creative Summer Art Academy (CSAA). These two-week art workshops offer students focused instruction by local, professional artists and art instructors.

For grades 1-12

Session I: June 14 – June 25, 9 am-4 pm

Session II: June 28 – July 9, 9 am-4 pm

Session III: July 12 – July 23, 9 am-4 pm

Session IV: July 26 – August 6, 9 am-4 pm

Session V: August 9 – August 20, 9 am-4 pm

Cost is $375 per session for Museum members, $425 for non members. Morning and/or afternoon care is also offered.

Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts – Summer Programs and Workshops

Collaborate, conceive, write, compose, choreograph, design and perform an original piece of theatre with music while working with professional artists and fellow students from around the world. Literary Initiative for Empowerment (L.I.F.E.)

The goal of L.I.F.E. is to help teenage Haitian immigrants assimilate and adjust to South Florida public schools through academic, artistic, and fun activities, such as poetry, acting, dancing, music and painting; learning how to get into college; improving academic and literacy skills; learning how to interpret life experiences through photography; and going on fun trips to locations such as Rapids Water Park, the Adrienne Arsht Center, and the Haitian Heritage Museum.

For Haitian teens aged 14 to 17, who live in North Miami, Little Haiti, or North Miami Beach who are enrolled in school with good standing.
