Get a Shark on Your Tail, Free License Plate Replacement Program

license-new-logoShow your SHARK pride while you ride!

Whether you’re cruising on I-95 or traveling across the country, you can express your school spirit by displaying the NSU specialty license plate on your vehicle. So, get a Shark on your tail!

How do you get one?

You may register HERE.

Just follow the instructions to order your plate through NSU’s free license plate replacement program. NSU will provide you with a replacement license plate at no charge.

The Free Replacement Program allows you to replace your current Florida plate with the NSU specialty plate. This is not part of your annual vehicle registration process. No additional charge will be incurred until your next license plate renewal.* At that time, if you choose to keep your NSU plate, a fee of $30 will be assessed. This fee helps fund NSU scholarships.

This replacement program is available for Florida license plates only.

* Vanity plates are available at an additional charge from any licensed tag agency. If you already have an NSU plate, the free replacement program does not apply.  You can obtain a new plate when you renew your registration at your local tax collector’s office.  Simply let them know you wish to replace your current specialty license plate with a new specialty license plate. If it is not time in your license plate’s cycle to replace the metal license plate, you will pay a few additional dollars to switch to a specialty license plate. So, the best time to switch is when you would normally have to replace your license plate (every five years).

Any questions contact the Alumni Relations Office at 954-262-2127.
