Staff of the Florida Board of Nursing recently toured Nova Southeastern University’s College of Nursing’s simulation labs. The multifaceted centers accommodate multiple allied health programs, which include nursing and physical therapy education programs. Visiting state-of-the-art simulation labs and classrooms was a highlight of the visit. The presence of representatives of multiple disciplines, and the collegiality and collaboration of staff from various campus locations, demonstrates NSU’s efforts to develop the significance of a multidisciplinary approach to nursing education. The facilities provide a safe environment that is conducive to learning, equipped with hi-fidelity simulators, study rooms, reference materials, scenario driven experiences and one-on-one consultations.
