Orris Speaks at CSCCa National Convention in Nashville

Nova Southeastern University’s Program Director for Sports Performance, Steve Orris, recently presented at the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association National Conference in Nashville, Tennessee.

Orris presided over a speech entitled Nutrition for the College Athlete, attempting to answer whether student-athletes have enough tools necessary to implement a sports nutrition program, and if optimal nutrition is possible in collegiate setting.

“I am very honored to have been invited to speak at the CSCCa National Conference,” said Orris. “I am very proud of our Sports Performance program at NSU and it was my pleasure to present it to a room full of certified collegiate Strength and Conditioning coaches from Divisions I, II, and III.”

Orris was one of about 30 speakers at the CSCCa National Conference, held annually with the intent to educate strength and conditioning coaches on all the latest developments in the field. There are currently over 1,600 active members in the association.
