NSU faculty members recently celebrated the start of the 2014-2015 academic year by attending the 13th Annual Faculty Reception, held in the Second Floor Gallery of NSU’s Alvin Sherman Library.

The October 15 reception was a chance to mingle with colleagues from throughout the university, while being treated to delicious hors d’oeuvres and interacting with top university administrators. As a special treat, members of the “Red Vest Society” were also on hand, mixing, and stirring martinis.

President George L. Hanbury II and Provost Ralph Rogers presented awards honoring the 2013-2014 Professors of the Year from NSU’s colleges, schools and centers. Congratulations to the following award winners –  Kenneth Johnson, DO, FACOOG, College of Osteopathic Medicine; Junping Sun, Ph.D., Graduate School of Computer and Information Sciences; Ana Maria Castejon, Ph.D., College of Pharmacy; Judith McKay, JD, Ph.D., Graduate School of Humanities & Social Sciences; Linda Sobell, Ph.D., ABPP, Center for Psychological Studies; Robert M. Jarvis, J.D., Shepard Broad Law Center; Bernhard Riegl, Ph.D., Oceanographic Center and Anastasia Mashukova, Ph.D., College of Medical Sciences.
