NSU to host AAUW Intl. Women’s Day Celebration: Speaker Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, March 18

The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is hosting its 8th Annual International Women’s Day Celebration, on Monday, March 18 from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm in the Don Taft University Center. This year’s theme is “Gender Agenda: Gaining Momentum,” featuring keynote speaker Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, 23rd Congressional District, Florida. Reservations are required as space is limited, RSVP to IWD.nova.edu@gmx.us.

Founded in 1881, AAUW supports women’s advancement through education, advocacy, research, and philanthropy. NSU’s branch offers open memberships to students, faculty and staff as well as offering travel awards to the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders and to the Undergraduate Student Symposium awards. The organization hosts annual events, special programs and offers mentoring opportunities through collaboration with the PACE Center for Girls and the Alvin Sherman Library.
